What is 10eLotto & How to Play

10eLotto is a game connected to the traditional Lotto, first introduced on July 28, 2009. To participate, players choose from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 10 numbers from 1 to 90. The cost of a 10eLotto ticket starts at €1, and you can play up to €200.

There are essentially three ways to play. The Immediate Draw, the Draw linked to the Lotto numbers, or the Draw every five minutes.

Immediate Draw

In this mode, the terminal immediately prints the drawn numbers on your game receipt when your ticket is validated. You can then compare them with the numbers you selected to check whether you have won. Play for up to fifty consecutive draws using the same ticket.

Draw Every 5 Minutes

With this option, you can participate in 10eLotto draws that are automatically held by the system every five minutes, from midnight until 11:55 p.m. on the same day. These plays can be made on a subscription basis, allowing participation in up to 50 consecutive draws. The “every 5 minutes” draw mode has been active since December 15, 2009.

Lotto Draw

This mode is linked to the three weekly Lotto draws. The 20 numbers drawn for 10eLotto correspond to the numbers in the first two columns of the Lotto draw table, excluding the Nazionale wheel. If there are duplicate numbers, the numbers from the third column are used, starting from the first wheel (again excluding the Nazionale). You can also subscribe to multiple draws (up to 50) with this mode.

10eLotto Prizes

As of October 1, 2017, new multipliers were introduced following a new tax on winnings, in order to ensure that net prizes remain equal to €1 or multiples thereof. The updated prize amounts for 10eLotto can be found in the table below.

The figures in the following table do not take into account the Gold Number and Double Gold (Numero Oro and Doppio Oro) options. For details on the prizes available when playing with the two Gold Numbers, visit the Gold Number page.

Subscription Plays

As of March 15, 2017, a regulation came into effect stating that plays made through subscriptions in frequent-draw mode cannot exceed a total of €1,000. This maximum amount is calculated by multiplying the stake per draw by the total number of draws you wish to play.

Extra

In addition to 10eLotto, there is also an option called Extra. To play it, simply select the Extra option. Adding it doubles the cost of your play.

With the Extra option, 15 additional winning numbers are drawn after the first 20. For the Lotto-linked game, these are the numbers that follow those drawn on the city wheels used to determine the first 20 numbers.

Adding the Extra option increases your chances of winning, since it includes 15 extra numbers to match. The following table shows all the prizes you can win, based on a €1 bet.

Gong Number

A Gong Number is also selected at the end of every 10eLotto draw. If you choose the Gong option during play, you can pick a number from 1 to 90. The cost of the Gong play is the same as your 10eLotto stake — for example, if you bet €1, playing the Gong Number costs an additional €1. Guess the winning Gong Number and you’ll receive €65 for every euro bet.
