Collecting Winnings in the Lotto Game
Payment of Winnings
If your play is a winner, you must keep the original, intact ticket in order to claim your prize. You will need to present it when collecting your winnings.
The method of payment depends on the amount of the prize (all amounts are gross):
- For gross winnings up to €543.48, the prize can be collected at any authorized Lotto retailer.
- For winnings between €543.48 and €2,300, payment can only be requested at the retailer where the ticket was purchased. The retailer will collect the ticket and pay the prize (net of tax withholding). Alternatively, upon the winner’s request, the retailer can reserve the prize and arrange payment via postal or bank transfer.
- For winnings between €2,300 and €10,500, payment can only be requested at the retailer where the ticket was purchased. The retailer can reserve the prize and arrange payment via postal or bank transfer.
- For winnings above €10,500, the winning ticket must be presented in original form at the Lotto concessionaire office, i.e., the Lottomatica Public Office, Via del Campo Boario 56/D, 00154 Rome.
Time Limits to Claim Winnings
Any prize must be claimed within 60 days from the date of the draw in which the winning combination occurred.
