VinciCasa FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the VinciCasa lottery

What is the VinciCasa lottery?

VinciCasa is a lottery that is part of the Win for Life games offering and had its first draw on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.

The difference compared to other lotteries lies in the fact that when winning the first-category prize (worth €500,000), only 40% of it is paid in cash, while the other 60% must necessarily be invested in the purchase of one or more properties located in Italy.

In addition to the first-category prize, VinciCasa also offers other prizes for those who match 4, 3, or 2 numbers.

On which day and at what time do VinciCasa draws take place?

Originally it was a weekly lottery, with draws every Wednesday evening, but since July 17, 2017, VinciCasa lottery draws take place every day at 8:00 PM.

What is the minimum cost of a VinciCasa play?

The minimum VinciCasa play, namely a single combination, has a fixed cost of €2 and allows you to choose five numbers.

What is the minimum age to participate in VinciCasa?

The minimum age to purchase a ticket and participate in this lottery is 18 years. Any winning plays made by minors will be invalidated.

At what time does ticket sales close?

Game sales take place over the 24 hours of each day and are briefly suspended only during the time when the draw takes place (at 8:00 PM). Note, however, that purchasing tickets at retail outlets is limited to the opening and closing hours of the sales points, while when playing online this type of restriction does not apply.

How is the VinciCasa prize pool calculated and distributed?

65% of the total revenue of each draw is allocated to the VinciCasa prize pool. The prize pool allocated to each prize category is instead calculated according to the following percentages:

  • 19% of the prize pool goes to the first-category prize;
  • 15% of the prize pool is allocated to the second-category prize;
  • 14% of the prize pool is allocated to the third-category prize;
  • 33% of the prize pool is allocated to the fourth-category prize.

The remaining 19% is allocated to the reserve prize fund to finance first-category winnings.

How do you win at VinciCasa?

VinciCasa has four prize categories, and to win the first-category prize you must match all five drawn numbers. Since July 17, 2017, the portion of the first prize to be allocated to the purchase of one or more properties located in Italy corresponds to 60% of the total, while the remaining 40% is paid in cash.

Lower-category prizes are calculated from time to time according to the pari-mutuel model, as explained in the previous question.

How can you claim a VinciCasa winning?

VinciCasa is part of the National Pari-Mutuel Number Games, and the claiming methods depend on the value of the prize won: for low-value prizes it will be possible to collect at a retail outlet or at a Prize Payment Point, while for the first prize it will be necessary to go to the Sisal Prize Office in Milan or Rome.

When playing online, winnings of up to €5,200 are credited directly to your gaming account.

The deadline for claiming winnings is 60 days; visit the How to Claim page for more detailed information.

What are the winning odds in VinciCasa?

Overall, the odds of winning any prize in VinciCasa are 1 in 9, while for the first-category prize there is 1 chance in 658,008. Visit the VinciCasa Prizes & Odds page for a complete overview, including those of the lower-tier prizes.

How much time does the first-prize winner have to choose the house to purchase?

A first-category prize winner has two years to choose the house (or multiple houses or other types of real estate located in Italy) that will be purchased using 60% of the prize won. Note, however, that all expenses arising from the purchase of properties will be borne by the winner.

Visit the How to Claim page for further information, for example what happens if two years have passed and the winner has not yet made a decision.

Does this lottery have a guaranteed jackpot?

Yes. The guaranteed first prize is approximately €500,000, paid according to the methods described in the previous paragraphs and on How to Play page.
