Gross Winnings Calculation Table

This table shows the gross Lotto winnings for a €1 bet on a single wheel, playing 1 to 10 numbers with the different game options.

Example of how to use the table: Suppose you played 4 numbers on a specific wheel, betting €1 on an ambo and €1 on a quaterna. If the quaterna is drawn, you would also have correctly hit 6 ambi. Your winnings would be calculated as follows:

• 1 € x 1 quaterna x 120.000 = 120.000 €
• 1 € x 6 ambi x 41,66 = 250 €

The gross total of your winnings would be €120,000 + €250 = €120,250.. Tax deduction: Since 1 October 2017, Lotto winnings over €500 are subject to an 8% withholding tax (it was 6% prior to 30 September 2017). Therefore, the net amount received by the winner would be:

• 120,250 − (8% of 120,250, i.e., 9,620) = €110,630

Net Winnings Calculation Table

This table shows the net Lotto winnings for a €1 bet on a single wheel, after applying the 8% tax withholding as required by law since 1 October 2017. The tax is automatically deducted before the prize is collected.
