How to Play SuperEnalotto and SuperStar
How to Play SuperEnalotto
SuperEnalotto was launched in 1997 and draws take place every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8:00 PM. Players choose six numbers out of 90, and must match all six of the winning numbers to win the jackpot. The jackpot has exceeded €100 million on several occasions throughout the game’s history, making it one of Italy's biggest and most popular lotteries.
During the draw, six main numbers are drawn from a machine, followed by a “Jolly” number selected from the same machine. This additional number increases the chance of winning in certain secondary prize categories. A separate draw machine is also used for the “SuperStar” number, offering extra prizes to those who participate in this additional game and are able to match it.
A single SuperEnalotto play costs €1 per line. You can win a prize by matching two or more numbers, while matching all six will net you a jackpot worth millions of euros.
Players can also play more than one combination per ticket easily and conveniently, thanks to SuperJackpot tickets (introduced in June 2017):
- €5 SuperJackpot ticket - five SuperEnalotto combinations for an overall 1-in-5 chance of winning a prize.
- €10 SuperJackpot ticket - ten SuperEnalotto combinations for an overall 1-in-3 chance of winning a prize.
How to Play SuperStar
For an additional €0.50 per line, you can play SuperStar, which guarantees a €5 win if you match the number drawn from the pool of 90 in the SuperStar draw, a separate draw that takes place alongside the main SuperEnalotto game. If you match the SuperStar number together with three, four, or five main SuperEnalotto numbers, your prize is multiplied up to 100 times. Players who match five main numbers and the SuperStar number receive 25 times the prize they would have won with only five numbers.
You can choose your own SuperStar number or allow the lottery terminal to assign one randomly when you buy your ticket.
