How to Collect a Lotteria Italia Prize
You have 180 days from the date the winning numbers are published in the Lotteria Italia bulletin to claim your prize. After this deadline, the right to claim the prize lapses. You must also remember to keep the winning ticket in good condition and to present it in its original form when you claim.
The 180-day deadline and claims processes outlined below apply to daily prizes as well as the big January 6th prizes.
There are three ways to submit a collection request:
In person
Present the original ticket in legible condition at the National Lottery Prizes Office, Viale del Campo Boario, 56/D - 00154 Rome.
By registered mail
Send the ticket by registered mail with return receipt (at the sender's risk) to the Lotterie Nazionali Prize Office, Viale del Campo Boario, 56/D - 00154 Rome, indicating your personal details, address, and chosen payment method (bank/postal transfer or cashier's cheque).
Through Intesa Sanpaolo Bank
Present the ticket at any branch, which will send it to the National Lotteries Prize Office on behalf of the winner, issuing the player a receipt.
Lotteria Italia Taxation
Despite some inaccuracies reported regarding winning tickets, the Customs and Monopolies Agency clarify that no withholding tax or levy is applied to winnings of any amount. Therefore, winners receive the prize money in full.
